Mysore Police takes Sri Ram Sene chief into custody

July 28th, 2009 MYSORE - The judicial custody of Sriram Sene Chief Pramod Mutalik, who was arrested for allegedly making inflammatory speech at Kyathamaranahalli, a Mysore suburb, in April this year, ends today. On July 25, the Sessions Court sent him to judicial custody till today.

July 25th, 2009 MYSORE - The Sessions Court in Mysore on Saturday denied bail to the Sriram Sene Chief Pramod Mutalik and sent him to judicial custody till July 28 for allegedly making inflammatory speech at Kyathamaranahalli, a Mysore suburb, in April this year. Mutalik, who had visited Kyathamaranahalli after the communal clashes in April, had allegedly addressed a gathering of local residents in the locality.

April 4th, 2009 CHENNAI - Sri Ram Sene founder Pramod Muthalik on Saturday ruled out supporting the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the upcoming general elections, saying the saffron party was using Hindutva only to come to power. February 13th, 2009 BANGALORE - Those who started the campaign to 'gift' pink underwear to Sri Rama Sene may call it off but the rightwing Hindu group, which had threatened to stop Valentine's Day celebrations, says it will continue with its plan to send out pink saris to its critics. 'Four or five parcels have already arrived with around 500 underpants,' a Sene activist said, holding up one of the cheeky 'gifts' sent to their leader Pramod Muthalik from 'pub loving, loose, forward women' - a group formed on a social networking site.
