ISLAMABAD - Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari said Wednesday the military operation against the Taliban will continue till the militants are eliminated from the country.

Zardari made the comments during a meeting with Prime Minster Yousaf Raza Gilani and Chief of Army Staff Gen Ashfaq Pervez Kayani at Aiwan-e-Sadr.

The leaders reviewed the security situation and the relief efforts for displaced Pakistanis, the Online News agency reported.

Zardari said the fight against the militants will continue till they are eliminated.

“No compromise shall be made with the militants at any cost,” he said.

Terrorism is a menace which is bringing bad name to the country and Islam, he added.

“The government would now focus on the safe and honourable return of the displaced people to their homes,” he maintained.
