NEW DELHI - Justice M.S. Liberhan, the one man Commission probing the 1992 demolition of Babri mosque at Ayodhya, on Tuesday refused to divulge details of the much-awaited report, until the report or the Action Taken Report is presented in Parliament.
“I cannot disclose all these things. I am supposed to be saying whatever you are asking for, after the report or the Action Taken Report is laid before the Parliament,” he said.
Liberhan denied that any pressure was brought on him during the investigations.
“No pressure can affect me in any respect. I am independent judicial officer,” he added.
Liberhan added that the document submitted to the Prime Minister this morning is thoroughly researched and with testimonials from hundreds of witnesses.
“Hundreds of witnesses have been examined. Thousands and thousands of pages of the written evidence has come, that’s in the commission, open to anybody to read,” he said.
The one man Commission submitted its report to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in presence of Home Minister P Chidambaram.
Established on December 16, 1992, ten days after the demolition that triggered widespread communal violence, the panel headed by retired Justice M S Liberhan, had got 48 extensions.

The contents of the report were not immediately known.
The probe panel has become one of the longest and costliest commissions with over Rs.7.5 crore having been already spent during this period.
The Commission, constituted by the Home Ministry, was mandated to inquire into the circumstances leading to the demolition of the Babri Mosque.
During the extended proceedings, the Commission recorded the statements of senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders L K Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi and Kalyan Singh. (ANI)
