JCPenney launches own women’s clothing line

PLANO, Texas — J.C. Penney Co. launched its own clothing line on Friday, introducing a brand called She Said that caters to working women.

The brand was created in-house, and designers intended to create pieces that could transition from work to after-work socializing.

Tops range in price from $26 to $44, while pants are priced from $44 to $50. Dresses run $44 to $58, and jackets are $68 to $85.

J.C. Penney also sells the Bisou Bisou, Allen B. and Oxford & Regent clothing brands.

Its shares rose 15 cents to close at $31.60 on Friday.
