September 10th, 2009 NEW DELHI/HYDERABAD - The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has formed a special team to probe the death of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy in a helicopter crash on September 2. CBI Superintendent of Police (Vizag) G Nageshwar Rao will head the team that will probe the mysterious circumstances under which the helicopter crashed in the dense forests of the Nallamala forest range in Kurnool district killing all five occupants.

August 14th, 2009 RANCHI - A probe was ordered Friday into the killing of two residents of a village on the outskirts of the Jharkhand capital Wednesday night after villagers charged the police with gunning them down and then terming it a shootout. Ranchi Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Praveen Singh ordered a probe into the killing of Deepak Gope, 35 and Ghasia Oraon, 36 -- allegedly gunned down by police while they were returning home near Chandmarcha village on the outskirts of Ranchi.

August 4th, 2009 CHANDIGARH - An organisation of Right To Information (RTI) activists Tuesday demanded a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the alleged kidnapping of an activist. According to police records, Kiran Pandey, a RTI activist from a Punjab town, was kidnapped July 12 by some unknown people and was released in an unconscious state after five days of confinement.
