India’s inflation falls marginally

August 13th, 2009 MUMBAI - India's annual rate of inflation fell marginally to minus 1.74 percent percent for the week ending Aug 1 from minus 1.58 percent the week before, according to official data released Thursday. The rate turned negative for the week ended June 6 for the first time since the new wholesale price index (WPI) series started in 1995.
