The team says the jobs held by 71-year-old Dom Anile (AH-neel-ee) and several others in the scouting department have been eliminated Anile was director of football operations for the Colts from 1998 to 2003, then was assistant general manager for scouting in 2004 and 2005.

February 24th, 2009 GURGAON - Bharat Petroleum (BP) defeated India Colts in a thrilling sudden-death finish to lift the Oriental Bank Maharaja Ranjit Singh hockey tournament at the Nehru Stadium here Monday. The teams were tied 1-1 after the regulation time and the extra time, too, failed to break the deadlock.

India who were unbeaten in the tournament conceded an early lead when Aussie striker Kieren Govers deflected a reverse cross hit from the left that went past goalkeeper Mrinal Chaubey in the third minute.

After pulling out of a four-nation hockey tournament in India because of the prevailing Indo-Pak tensions over November's terror attacks in Mumbai, Pakistan invited Malaysia for a Test series in February.

January 8th, 2009 KARACHI - Pakistan's hockey officials are considering inviting India for a Test series on an offshore venue later this year. Qasim Zia, the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) president, told IANS Friday that the PHF has discussed the idea of playing matches on neutral venues with India and other major hockey-playing nations in a bid to revive Pakistan hockey.
