October 8th, 2009 GHAZIABAD - A man was robbed of Rs.3 lakh by two criminals in Ghaziabad, police said Thursday. According to police, Om Prakash, a resident of Pilkhuwa, bought a plot in the city and was to pay Rs.3 lakh to the land owner Thursday.

September 14th, 2009 GHAZIABAD - Two armed masked men robbed a cooperative bank of over Rs.1.7 lakh here Monday, police said. The heist occurred Monday in Govindpuri locality under the Modinagar police station of Ghaziabad.

April 30th, 2009 GHAZIABAD - Two armed men on a motorcycle robbed a 26-year-old salesman working with a telecom company here of Rs.1 lakh in cash and mobile re-charge coupons worth Rs.1.25 lakh, police said. Narendra Kumar was taking the cash and re-charge coupons in a bag to his company office in Vivekanand Nagar in Ghaziabad when he was intercepted by two motorcycle borne men.

April 2nd, 2009 GHAZIABAD - Four unidentified armed motorcyclists robbed Rs.500,000 from two recovery agents of a security agency Thursday in this Uttar Pradesh district, officials said. Ranveer Singh and Sunil Mishra, recovery agents of the security firm, Brinks Arya, were returning to Noida to deposit the cash at Sector-51 ICICI Bank after collecting the amount from various clients of the company in the national capital.

March 21st, 2009 GHAZIABAD - A businessman was robbed of cash and mobile recharge coupons worth over Rs.200,000 Friday in GT Road Industrial area in Ghaziabad, the police said. Naresh Rohela, a distributor of mobile phone and recharge coupons, visited some retail outlets on GT Road and collected the outstanding cash from them, senior superintendent of police (SSP) Akhil Kumar said.

March 5th, 2009 GHAZIABAD - An angry mob went on the rampage here Wednesday, damaging a police post, over a dozen vehicles and critically injuring two policemen after two men were gunned down by the police allegedly for robbing a man. Residents of Ghaziabad set on fire the police post outside the New Bus Stand, burnt two police vehicles and 12 buses in the evening to protest the killing of the two men, said Superintendent of Police (traffic) Anil Kumar.

February 15th, 2009 GHAZIABAD - A wood trader of Delhi was shot at and robbed Monday by a former employee in Vaishali area of Ghaziabad, police said. Fakruddin, who was running a contract business in Ghaziabad, was approached by Feroz, a carpenter who had earlier worked for him with a request to be re-employed.

February 6th, 2009 GHAZIABAD - Six armed men robbed jewellery worth Rs.3.5 million and Rs.150,000 in cash from a shop here Saturday, the police said. The incident occurred at around 6 p.m.
