HDI certifications for the support industry comes to India

September 23rd, 2009 NEW DELHI - State-run upstream major Oil and Natural Gas Corp (ONGC) Wednesday said it has paid Rs.6,844 crore as dividend for 2008-09. ONGC shareholders approved a dividend payment of of Rs.14 a share, which along with the interim dividend of Rs.18 a share totals to Rs.32 a share.

September 10th, 2009 NEW DELHI - The government Thursday gave its approval for constituting a joint venture company, Invest India, to promote the country as an investment destination for foreign companies. The proposed company will be a joint venture between the government of India, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry and the state governments, an official statement said.

September 10th, 2009 NEW DELHI - The Union Cabinet today approved the proposal of the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Ministry of Commerce and Industry for the formation of a company 'Invest India' under Section 25 of the companies Act, 1956, for promotion of foreign investments during the XI Five Year Plan. The proposed company which will be a joint venture between the Government of India, Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry and the State Governments will be responsible for promoting Foreign investments into the country in a more focussed, comprehensive and structured manner.

June 18th, 2009 NEW DELHI - Medical tourism can fetch India up to Rs.8,000 crore in foreign exchange by 2012, nearly double than current figures, according to an industry lobby.
