It is sad to Note that the Exemption of 75,000 has been raised to 1,00,000 towards the treatment of handicapped dependents U/S 80 DD however the Personal Exemption U/s 80 U still stands at 50,000 for Permanent Disability above 60%. Does the Indian govt thinks that Permanently Physically Challenged People are capable of doing nothing and they only need treatment so raising the tax limits for their guardians?? What about the Working Permanent Physically Challenged People??
Does Indian Govt Thinks that a Physically Challenged person can never reach a higher salried Job? Does a exemption limit of 50,000/- fair enough keeping in view the Price Index in todays time since the Expemption Limit has not been revised since last many years??? Does Indian Govt has no Pitty towards the hardships suffered by Permanently Physically Challenge Employees in Execustion of their Jobs and upraising their Families.
I truely Believe this Exemption Limit of 50,000/- U/s 80U Should be raised considerably to recognize the hardwork done by Permanently Physically Challenged in order to live a life of self respect without being dependenta on society.
