One rank one pension : Why only for persons below officer’s rank? Are officers not ex servicemen or the govt has alredy given them too much? why this gap is being reduced to such an extent? Knowingly or otherwise? Officers must protest this second citizen treatment within the same organisation.

Those who have completed three years and more service in the military are excluded from any kind of pension or gratuity. Where as a MP or MLA who is having less service in the Parliament or assembly are granted pension. They are getting Rs.67000 per month. Those who served in the border areas in the high atitude are not allowed any kind of pension or medical aid or allowed to purhcase stores from CSD canteen on paayment. I served in the Medical Battalion and served in the Sikkim during 1965-66 when Sikkim was not a state of Indian territory. For the last forty years I am representing for some kind of pension. But the Govt of Inida simply rejected my humble request. I request the Govt of Inida to sanction small pension atleast for those who have completed 3 years and more service in the Army. The present Army personnel do not understand the amenities and salary/perks etc avaiable on those years and of the present. Now higher salary, amentities are more and welfare are too much. The Govt should compare both and sanction a small pension atleast to those who had completed 3 years and more serice in the Army.
