HON PREZ OF INDIA ;
BASKARAN coach Hockey ;
I remember the Days when Ex-President of Pakistan General Ayub Khan Greeted ……….Pakistani Olympic Champions by HIMSELF at Karachi Airport ( gifting them Cream suits before Landing) in 1960’s ?
Most Respectable Showeth
During November Ist Week , I traveled in Jet-Lite Flight Early morning from Chennai to New Delhi, and Sri Lankan under 19 Team’s were traveling in the same flight ( Columbo-Chennai-Delhi ) (their Captain was sitting just beside me un-Luckily) , after Landing at Delhi Airport No Reception was made to them No media Coverage Given to them (Except 1 minute Coverage in DD news only after 2 days of their arrival)
I remember the days , in 1960’s-70’s , we were used to get only Rupi 4/- ( $ 00.30) a day for breakfast , Lunch, and Dinner , ( and during 1974- 1984 ) I myself struggled a lot to collect Money in Saudi Arabia and Turkey to get “Thyroid Surgeries” as a Cancer Patient in Jeddah , King Abdul Aziz University Hospital , Jeddah. Saudi Arabia .
I suggest to insist IPL / Cricket Board to Spare 10% of their Income to PROMOTE Hockey and make it more and more Popular in our country by wisdom.
