Five policemen killed in suicide attack in Iraq

April 20th, 2009 BAQUBA - A suicide bomber Monday struck a joint US and Iraqi foot patrol in Iraq's Diyala province, killing at least three policemen and injuring 12, a police source said. The suicide bomber blew up his explosive laden vest among US and Iraqi security personnel who were patrolling in Tapo Street in Baquba city, some 65 km northeast of Baghdad, a police source said.

A suicide bomber rammed an explosives laden vehicle into a security check post in Doaba area of Hangu district, the private Express TV channel reported.

Senior Superintendent of Police Tahir Alam said a suicide bomber blew himself up when Frontier Corps (FC) personnel were having dinner in a check post near the crowded Jinnah Super Market.
