Eight killed in Pakistan blast

August 17th, 2009 ISLAMABAD - At least 10 people were killed in a suicide blast at a town in Pakistan's North West Frontier Province, media reports said Friday. The reports said the suicide blast took place in a market in Kohat town and several shops were completely destroyed in the blast.

July 15th, 2009 ISLAMABAD - At least four people were killed Wednesday in an explosion at a fireworks factory in eastern Pakistan, TV reports said. The incident occurred in Muridke city of Punjab province.

June 9th, 2009 ISLAMABAD - At least five people were killed and 35 injured Tuesday evening in a bomb blast at a five-star hotel in the northwestern Pakistani city of Peshawar, according to local TV reports. The blast occurred at the Pearl Continental Hotel, a heavily guarded five-star hotel in Peshawar, capital of the North West Frontier Province (NWFP), the Express TV quoted police sources as saying.
