Should Gay marriage be legalized?
Yes. First because if its not we deny their very existence which is in contradiction to reality. Its a way of life which have been there since time immemorial. Secondly, Gay and lesbian are human as much as any straight people and categorizing their way of life as not normal by the so called normal is stupidity. How does one define normal?
“its unnatural”, an argument thrown at them by the so called normal heterosexual human beings. who define naturality. “It’s against the course of nature”. But is it not that nature itself changes.
If nature itself changes with time, people preferences and choices changes too. and change is natural.
Thirdly, being a human being the gay and lesbian society have as much right to live their own life the way they want to. They should be given the liberty to exercise their rights of marriage with mutual consent.
if one finds love in same sex and the other provides an understanding and emotional support to the other and if both are happy, why do we go and disrupt that?
It’s a sin. Its against the bible, Geeta, Quran and all other respected religion. Yes indeed, our faith taught us morality, to be good and virtuous. True. Did not our religion also taught us to love one another and love our enemies and live in harmony. i don’t suppose any religion teaches us to go and punish the wrong doers. (if we think gay being gay is wrong). Religion is about you and your relationship with God. Not your judgment that you pass on your fellow living humans.
Fourthly, the Gay society completes the societal circle. we term them as minority but if one thinks carefully we are the minority. without them, the very cycle of nature of societal structure cease to exist.
there may be lots of reason why Gay marriage should not be legalized, but the root of all is just the insecurity that one has within ourselves.
They should be let alone and set free and live their live as free citizens and enjoy their rights as we all so called self-predefined normal people.

No its wrong,theres been gays ect.since the beginning of time-I believe that there is allot of confusion about sexuality@allowing gay marriages will only make it worse,dont get me wrong Im not against gays,I can understand to a certain extent why someone may turn to someone of the same sex-for instance say a women was raped by a man and is afraid of men and finds comfort in a women,but it seems sex is displayed so much on T.V ect. that its becoming as if private sex between a man and a women like it should be-is as boring as the laundry soap and new vehicle ads and I feel people are trying to find something more exciting sexualy.I was really concerned one day when my little virgin sister came home from High School and announced she thinks she may be Bisexual,its seems to be some fad of some sort with teens(a fad that they will out grow when maturity hits)a fad that most likely started when alot of these teens were going threw the rebellious teen stage when most think they are adults and are competing in the who can piss and freak out thier parents the most,so why keep thier blooming paths so crooked and make this right by law-It will never be right in the eyes of God and with so many pushing it I think it shows the strong confusion as if they themselves need some back up reassurance to make them feel right about it themselves-look at the millions of men and women who arent married living as a man and wife.If two people love one another they will say to hell with what anyone thinks and be together why cant gays just let it go?Straights do.

I don’t think that there should be gay marriage b’cos it is redicules i mean there is no chance to get marry then what is the use of this. If suppose any gay need a child then what will he do guess? what will happen? and might be if they adopt any child what people will say that he/she is gays child you just imagine what will be the situation if any of the gay adopt child public will laugh on them…. i don’t tyhink such rules should be there. government must be banned on this system.

I support gay marriage but it should be clear before giving support that the children kept by them or the property status of them after their death. This is the most vital thing otherwise a lot of question arises.

All of you that are posting about it being unnatural and immoral to be “gay” are ridiculous. Homosexual acts occur in nature DAILY. What do we do about that? We accept it.
Do I think that gays should be able to get married? I don’t give a damn one way or another. They aren’t taking away your rights… They are asking for some of their own. Would I vote for or against gay marriage should the vote come up in my State? I don’t know… That depends on what kind of garbage the snakes tack onto the end of the bill. Some of the most successful relationships are ones that involve gay couples… Why? Who knows. Maybe it’s the fact that they accept one another for all of their faults instead of spitting on each other in a power struggle to control the relationship. Do those things happen in a gay relationship? I’m sure they occur as well. After all, they ARE human.

I dont oppose gay basic rights, in the sense that I feel gays should not be prosecuted. At the same time I think that gay marriage should not be legalised due to the simple reason that it is not scientific.

As a non-resident Indian (not born in India either), it’s sad to see how many religious morons exist not only in my country of birth, but in India as well. Instead of using unscientific, illogical means to argue a point (i.e. the unprovable existence of God(s) and his/her/its desires), consider debating on rational points.
Imagine an orphan. Now imagine the orphan struggling through life with no parents, no guardians, etc. to guide them. From the perspective of that child, is it better for the child to continue to suffer, or is it better for two adults, who happen to be of the same gender, to raise the child in a loving household?
If the point still doesn’t make sense, think of a feature that strikes you at home more personally. Think about how you would feel if the government or society denied you the right, as a fully grown, fully functional, and fully intelligent being, to marry solely on the basis of the color of your skin? Now ask yourself why you do not wish others to have those rights bearing in mind that they are who they are by birth. Gays/lesbians are born the way they are just as every one of us is born with a distinct skin color.

Following the Amarican or any other countries culture is not a great deal but spreeding Indian culture would make a bit of sence. Religion is nothing but marriage or union between men and woman; the marriage between men and woman is the corner stone of every religion. Every religion describes creation in different way, but it starts with men and woman.
Those don’t believe in creation or creator may accept gay marriage, when gay marriage is legalized, why can’t we legalize prostitution, we can export Indian woman to world countries and earn more!
What our kids will think of gay marriage when the grow!, they will think oh its natural? Or they will become gays! We should not seed evil things in a Childs mind! Right?

I think it should. Everyone should be allowed to express their love through marriage, regardless of their sexuality. I think it is absolutely disgusting that some say gay marriage is ‘unnatural.’ I don’t think its alright to just take someone else’s rights away, when in reality, they are merely humans like everyone else. Has the world really turned into a place where it questions and judges people, for who they are, and what makes them?

Usually I don’t care to make the effort to write a comment for meaningless debates such as this, but I found it incredibly disturbing the amount of close-minded trash other people had written about gays not being allowed to marry and gays being immoral and unnatural. Thankfully there where people like me who thought gay marriage should be allowed everywhere, restoring my faith in humanity.
The disturbing comments, like the one just above me from “tarun” where so ridiculous I pondered that they might just be joking and that its sarcasm. Anyways, did anyone notice how comments like that one reflected perfectly about how the NAZIs felt, “If its unnatural then it’s reversing Darwin’s natural selection and should be got rid of, (The NAZIs where then ‘brainwashed’ to believe that all Jews where a crime against nature, not human, and hence the holocaust, we all know now to be the one of, if not the greatest evil act ever to be committed by man, and it was all started by ignorant people like this!)”

These where just 2 of the short comments I could find, that seem to make out gays as ‘Sick deformities’ which I hope that most people will understand that this is absurd. So I think I have made my first point that you should be very careful about what you mean by ‘gays being unnatural’ unless you want to be made out as NAZIs.

Ok so if you have read this far I hope you will read a little more. My second point is that if you believe in ‘true love’ then you should rejoice that homosexuality exists because ‘true love’ is possible by any combination of couples even if they are of the same gender. If you feel that homosexuality is not love but just perversion then you just believe in a chemical reaction in the brain where you “fall in love” when you meet the right person of the opposing gender so then you can ‘mate’ and “produce offspring” as glorious nature intended of which some people here have prized dearly because ‘true love’ know no boundaries, its eternal commitment when two souls meet not when just two different sexes meet. So as I said if you believe in true love and believe that marriage is to symbolize this, (Hard to believe with today’s divorce count) then homosexuals have the right to marry just as much as heterosexuals do. If however you don’t really think marriage symbolises true love, (or is suppose to anyways,) then I do not see the point in why ANYONE would want to get married if its that empty.
Now if you have read this far I am very grateful and a little astonished because I am just one person. Hopefully now I might of already convinced you one way or another and that you will read my final point.
To all those people who say or imply ‘god says homosexuality is wrong and evil’ then I am disappointed. I am disappointed because you’re supposed to be the open-minded ones in society. You are suppose to be questioning s**t like this that come out of apparently “sacred and ancient scriptures” like the bible, (though I doubt its purity even if it did come from ‘the son of god’) and were not all religious so what ever you think ‘god said’ isn’t everyone else’s opinion because ‘True evil is disguised as good’. You assume too much of god and follow too much of what mummy and daddy forced upon you when you where young. Religion is supposed to inspire good not ignorance. What a can of worms this topic is these days. I realize that there will be some who agree with me and even more who probably don’t. But, I truly feel we were not designed for this type of life style. Homosexuality is NOT what we are supposed to engage in. We were created to seek the Lord first in all matters and procreate as man and woman. We can easily get caught up in our lusts and become distracted by what’s right and what’s wrong.
For those of you so quick and ready to bash gay people for what they do let me ask you. “How many of you against homosexuality because of it’s immorality had sex last night with someone you are not married to?” You see? If you’re gonna argue your point so severely be sure you’re standing upright in your own life (of course we all make mistakes too though). Although, I disagree with homosexuality I don’t feel the need to “beat them up” so, to speak. You see, I don’t believe God likes to see his creations: lying, taking drugs, cursing, drinking til drunk, sleeping around; stealing or a host of other things either.
I’m not trying to “sit on my high horse” here. I screw up often myself it’s just a matter of accepting Jesus in my life and when I do mess up; ask for forgiveness and not return to do those things again (God willing).
Despite how the physical aspect of homosexuality can be unsettling I really do believe it’s more of a spiritual thing. People hurt from past traumas trying to find SOMEthing to ease the pain and continue on (at least in some cases maybe). That “hurt” becomes a lifestyle and now they dare you to tell them it’s wrong and you should accept it regardless of your own feelings about the matter.
But, what saddens me is when people either ride the fence or claim that what gays do doesn’t affect me in my life or other people’s in their’s. That’s not true at all. That’s almost like living 40 years ago and complaining when someone would smoke a cigarette in a restaurant and you don’t like it because it’s bothering you and others tell you to get over it and be quiet. Well, we NOW know how second hand smoke affects everybody in the room regardless of whether we’re smoking or not. Homosexuality in the same way spiritually dampens our society in areas you might not see immediately but, eventually destroys the strongest and first institution God created and that’s the union between Man and Woman to GOD.
I’m sure there are those who will try to “intellectualize” this and say this is all rubbish but, then you can’t intellectualize my relationship with the Lord. You either Believe,will believe or won’t believe; ultimately, it’s your choice to ask for forgiveness of your sins, Ask Jesus to come into your life and live to tell others about Him.
I Love the homosexual as much as I love the Drug Addict, the whoremonger, the liar, the convict, even that guy who won’t shut up when I’m spending 15 dollars to see a movie. All have sinned and come short of the Glory of God. Make Him first and He’ll deal with us about the rest.

Do you think gay marriage should be legalized in India?
What a can of worms this topic is these days. I realize that there will be some who agree with me and even more who probably don’t. But, I truly feel we were not designed for this type of life style. Homosexuality is NOT what we are supposed to engage in. We were created to seek the Lord first in all matters and procreate as man and woman. We can easily get caught up in our lusts and become distracted by what’s right and what’s wrong.
For those of you so quick and ready to bash gay people for what they do let me ask you. “How many of you against homosexuality because of it’s immorality had sex last night with someone you are not married to?” You see? If you’re gonna argue your point so severely be sure you’re standing upright in your own life (of course we all make mistakes too though). Although, I disagree with homosexuality I don’t feel the need to “beat them up” so, to speak. You see, I don’t believe God likes to see his creations: lying, taking drugs, cursing, drinking til drunk, sleeping around; stealing or a host of other things either.
I’m not trying to “sit on my high horse” here. I screw up often myself it’s just a matter of accepting Jesus in my life and when I do mess up; ask for forgiveness and not return to do those things again (God willing).

I am always appalled by the closed minded, bigoted people who respond to this issue. You know the ones…They present themselves as “Good” Christians, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists etc. Yet, I know of NO religion that endorses the judgment and punishment of our fellow human beings.
To those who say it is a choice or a disease. You have no more choice in the color of your skin or eyes, where you will be born or what language you will grow up speaking than you do in your sexuality. And, even if that were the case, why would anyone put themselves through the torment and persecution many, if not most, Gays and Lesbians experience?
Now, to the question of Legalizing Gay Marriage. The answer is ABSOLUTELY…YES!!!!!!!!!!!! Why is it anyone’s right to deny in the first place. Finding love…TRUE Love…Is an ever more difficult task whether you are straight or gay. And some of the most successful relationships I’ve been privileged to observe have been between two men. It almost makes me envious!!!
As long as the people around you, gay or straight, are not hurting you or depriving you of your inalienable rights, you should leave them alone and let them live their own lives!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gay sex has ALWAYS been there since the Time of Adam and EVE….
It was a an alternative form of living life to enjoy sexual pleasure in order to prevent pregnancies and still continue to be happy.
I am Bisexual and proud to be it ! I support Gays feeling the need to be happy. Same sex marriages however, is not something I myself would agree with, but if thats what a part of the society wants THEN WE CANNOT AND SHOULD NOT STOP THEM.
Everyone cannot agree on everything… and I may not want to encourage gay marriage… but if its what is making people happy then SO BE IT !
My personal choice is to ge tmarried to a woman, yet I continue staying attracted to men too… albeit I dont believe I would ever want to marry a man , it is everyones personal choice.. RESPECT IT !!

My understanding is that homosexuality was very much a feature of the Indian culture before the days of the Empire, at which point it was criminalised. I don’t understand how now many Indians choose to forget, or hide this. I don’t see what is so unnatural about allowing marriage, homosexuals are born the way they are - it is NOT a choice, or something a person does if they have been mistreated by the opposite sex (I couldn’t believe the suggestion of that one). It is also not a cultural point - there are a considerable number of homosexual Indians who have to pretend they are someone they are not - perhaps marry someone who they can’t love and whose life they ruin due to the heavy demands of society. Everyone is entitled to airing their view, but that doesn’t mean they have the right to detriment the simple, basic human rights of others. In many countries, rights and the law have to come above religion - we do not all follow the same religion (if one at all) and should not be bound by such principles, but basic civil rights.
