CISF to guard Infosys complex in Bangalore

RIL's Jamnagar refinery, is world's biggest Greenfield refinery According to sources, the RIL has conveyed its decision to the Union Home Ministry that they are now keen to take the CISF security cover.

July 10th, 2009 BANGALORE - Infosys Technologies Ltd posted a net profit of Rs.15.27 billion (Rs.1,527 crore) in the first quarter (April-June) of this fiscal (2009-10), registering 17.3 percent year-on-year (YoY) growth as per the Indian accounting standard. In a regulatory filing Friday, the IT bellwether said the consolidated income for the quarter (Q1) under review is Rs.54.72 billion (Rs.5,472 crore), which is an increase of 12.7 percent YoY as the per the Indian accounting standard.

May 21st, 2009 BANGALORE - Five employees of the Infosys were killed and eight others injured when their bus overturned in Belgaum District of Karnataka on Tuesday. The incident occurred when the driver of the bus in which they were travelling lost control while negotiating a sharp curve.

May 21st, 2009 BANGALORE - Five employees of Infosys Technologies were killed in a road accident in Karnataka's Belgaum district Thursday, police said. The incident took place after the driver lost control over the KSRTC (Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation) Airavatha bus carrying 43 Infosys employees at Hukkeri Taluka in Belgaum, northern Karnataka, 480 km from here.

In a regulatory filing Wednesday, the IT bellwether said it had made a provision of Rs.7.73 billion (Rs.773 crore) for the dividend payout after the approval by the shareholders at its annual general meeting in June 2009.

'It (the ordinance) would pave the way for deployment of CISF for the security of private and joint sector enterprises depending upon the threat perception.

January 1st, 2009 NEW DELHI - Having failed to get the Central Industrial Security Force (Amendment) Bill, 2008, passed by Parliament, the government Friday decided to promulgate an ordinance enabling the private sector to avail of the paramilitary force to guard against terror attacks on industrial houses. The union cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh gave the go-ahead to bring in an ordinance said Science and Technology Minister Kapil Sibal.
