Chinese rapist who gave online number to victim busted

October 6th, 2009 SANTIAGO - Over two dozen victims of a serial rapist arrested in this northern Dominican city are refusing to file complaints against him as they are afraid their husbands will leave them if they learn they were raped, police said. Police turned over to the courts a man arrested Sunday in connection with 34 rapes in Santiago between June and September.

July 5th, 2009 NEW DELHI - An auto lifters' gang operating in the south Delhi area was busted here Sunday with the arrest of six people, police said. The leader of the gang, Manoj Kumar alias Thakur, 22, and his accomplices Manoj alias Jagga, 22, Shashank, 19, Dipanker, 24 - all residents of south Delhi - as well as Ajeet Kumar, 21, and Sanjay Kumar, 22, residents of Ghaziabad and Baraut in Uttar Pradesh were arrested Sunday.

April 28th, 2009 NEW DELHI - Delhi police Tuesday claimed to have busted a gang of human traffickers with the arrest of two persons while a hunt for the woman said to be the gang leader is on. Gurcharan Singh and Bal Bahadur Karki were arrested on the basis of complaint of Desh Raj, who is a native of Himachal Pradesh, the police said, adding five passports and incriminating documents were recovered from the accused.
