April 20th, 2009 BAQUBA - A suicide bomber Monday struck a joint US and Iraqi foot patrol in Iraq's Diyala province, killing at least three policemen and injuring 12, a police source said. The suicide bomber blew up his explosive laden vest among US and Iraqi security personnel who were patrolling in Tapo Street in Baquba city, some 65 km northeast of Baghdad, a police source said.

April 5th, 2009 BAGHDAD - Two simultaneous explosions killed nine policemen Sunday in Anbar province west of Baghdad, police said. A police source told the DPA that the bombs ripped though a patrol in Faluja, 70 km west of Baghdad, killing an officer and eight other policemen.

April 5th, 2009 RANCHI - Three policemen were killed and six others were injured when a minibus carrying them dashed against a tree in East Singhbhum district of Jharkhand Sunday, the police said. According to the police, around 20 policemen were in the minibus, when the vehicle's driver lost control and hit a tree near Jora flyover in the district, around 170 km from Ranchi, Sunday afternoon.

March 25th, 2009 PATNA - The Bahujan Samaj Party's (BJP) Lok Sabha candidate Arjun Ravidas was Wednesday arrested in connection with the killing of 10 policemen in Bihar's Nawada district last month. Ravidas, the BSP's candidate in the Jamui Lok Sabha seat, was arrested when he reached the district administration office in Jamui, about 200 km from here, to collect posters and nomination forms, said an official.

February 12th, 2009 PATNA - Three suspected Maoist rebels, including the head of a village panchayat, have been arrested in connection with the killing of 10 policemen in an attack by guerrillas on Feb 9 in Bihar's Nawada district, police said Friday. Mahudhar panchayat head Ram Bhuj Ravidas and two others were arrested Thursday night, Nawada Superintendent of Police Nishant Tiwari told IANS over telephone.

February 11th, 2009 RAIPUR - A Maoist group 'commander' who is one of the key suspects in the killing of 55 policemen in March 2007 in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district has been arrested, the police said in this state capital Thursday.
