BofA, Ford, Alcoa, Huron Consulting are big movers
NEW YORK — The following stocks were among those that moved substantially or traded heavily Monday on the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq Stock Market:

Bank of America Corp., up 53 cents at $15.32
The bank will pay a $33 million fine to the SEC to settle charges it misled investors over $5.8 billion in Merrill Lynch bonuses, said it appointed a former Citigroup CFO to run investment operations and shuffled some other top executives.
Ford Motor Co., up 33 cents at $8.33
The automaker said U.S. sales rose in July, the first gain in almost two years, helped by the government’s “cash for clunkers” program.
Alcoa Inc., up 84 cents at $12.60
The aluminum producer was the Dow Jones industrials’ biggest gainer amid higher metal prices and positive reports on manufacturing worldwide.
Las Vegas Sands Corp., up 71 cents at $10.06
A JPMorgan analyst said data indicates that gaming revenue trends from Macau properties are improving, and he expects improved liquidity from the casino operator.
Barclays PLC, up $1.61 at $22.15
The British bank said its first-half profits grew 10 percent, helped by its acquisition of bankrupted investment bank Lehman Brothers.

Huron Consulting Group Inc., down $30.66 at $13.69
The consultancy withdrew its profit guidance, will restate results since 2006 due to accounting errors, and said its CEO and CFO are leaving.
Savient Pharmaceuticals Inc., down $2.79 at $12.80
The FDA rejected the drug developer’s gout treatment, citing manufacturing problems and a need for updated safety data before further review.
Genyzme Corp., down $1.51 at $50.38 A British drug developer said a genetic disorder treatment to rival the company’s Cerezyme moved closer to getting on the market.
