Biden offering words of advice to Syracuse grads

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Vice President Joe Biden is offering some words of advice to this year’s graduating class at Syracuse University.

Biden, who earned a law degree from the school in upstate New York in 1968, is giving the commencement address Sunday morning before thousands of students and their families. He also is receiving an honorary degree from the university.

It’s the first commencement speech of the season for Biden. He is scheduled to speak at Wake Forest in North Carolina on May 18 and at the Air Force Academy in Colorado on May 27.

Syracuse’s chancellor and president, Nancy Cantor, says Biden represents the best of the university and is a fine choice to send off the new graduates.
