At least 11 killed, 44 injured in separate blasts in Iraq

October 6th, 2009 CAIRO - A car bombing at a market near the western Iraqi city of Fallujah killed at least nine people Tuesday, al-Jazeera reported. Officials in the town of Amiriya said at least 31 people were injured.

September 10th, 2009 BAGHDAD - At least 29 people were killed and 81 injured in attacks that shook different parts of Iraq Thursday, security sources said. In northern Iraq, 25 people died 43 were injured in a truck bombing in eastern Mosul.

September 9th, 2009 BAGHDAD - Six people, including two policemen, were killed and three others injured in two separate attacks in Iraq Wednesday, according to the government. Four civilians were killed when an explosive device went off near their vehicle in the the Iraqi southern city of Karbala, a government source said.

Seven people were killed and two injured, from the same family, when a car bomb went off in Kirkuk, witnesses said.

August 20th, 2009 BAGHDAD - Two people were killed and eight others injured Thursday when a bicycle bomb exploded in Baghdad, witnesses said. The bicycle exploded in the crowded al-Rasheed street, damaging several offices of travel companies.

August 12th, 2009 BAGHDAD - At least eight people were killed and 30 others injured in two separate car bomb attacks in the Iraqi capital Tuesday night, the police said. The first explosion occurred near a Shia mosque in the Al-Amin district of Baghdad, while the second explosion took place near a coffee shop in the same district.

June 12th, 2009 ISLAMABAD - At least five people were killed and over 100 injured in bomb blasts targeting two mosques in Pakistan Friday, media reports said. One person was killed and several injured in a bomb blast at the Jamia Naeemia mosque in the city of Lahore in eastern Pakistan and four people were killed and over 90 injured in an explosion targeting the Nowshera supply depot mosque in the city of Nowshera in northwest Pakistan, Geo News reported.

June 12th, 2009 LAHORE - At least seven persons have been reportedly killed and several others injured in serial bomb blasts which rocked two mosques in Nowshera and Lahore. According to sources the blasts took place after the juma prayers.

April 6th, 2009 BAGHDAD - At least 10 people were killed Monday and 45 injured as four bombs rocked separate locations here, television reports said. Iraq's al-Iraqia channel said four were killed and 15 were injured in a blast in the bustling al-Alawi commercial district in central Baghdad.

February 10th, 2009 BAGHDAD - At least 16 people were killed and more than 40 injured in two blasts in the most deadly of a series of attacks that rocked Iraq Wednesday, the Dubai-based al-Arabiya satellite network reported. The twin blasts in Baghdad followed an attack in the northern city of Mosul, some 400 km north of Baghdad.

January 11th, 2009 BAGHDAD - At least seven people were killed and about a dozen injured Monday in two separate blasts in downtown Baghdad, the Voices of Iraq (VOI) news agency reported, citing police sources. Four people were killed and six injured in the Iraqi capital when a suicide bomber blew himself up earlier Monday.
