September 18th, 2009 BHUBANESWAR - The state-owned National Aluminium Co Ltd (NALCO) Friday said it has got the mining lease approval to build a 1.4 million tonne greenfield alumina refinery in Andhra Pradesh. The government of India has accorded prior approval for the mining lease proposals of the government of Andhra Pradesh for awarding lease to NALCO over Gudem and Katamraju Konda bauxite blocks in Andhra Pradesh, the company said in a release.

July 28th, 2009 MUMBAI - Reliance Natural Resources chairman Anil Ambani on Tuesday blamed the Petroleum Ministry of maintaining a biased approach in the legal dispute with brother Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries over the issue of the price of natural gas from the Krishna-Godavari basin. July 22nd, 2009 NEW DELHI - Etisalat DB, a joint venture between Dubai-based telecom major Etisalat and Mumbai's Dynamix Balwas group (DB), and the Anil Ambani-promoted telephony operator Reliance Communications (RCom), have entered into an agreement to share infrastructure for 10 years, a RCom statement said Wednesday. 'Under production sharing contracts, government's role is limited to approving the gas value so as to determine its share of profits,' a senior company official said, quoting a counter-affidavit filed with the court on the dispute over the natural gas from the Krishna-Godavari basin.
