8 killed, 40 injured in Madhya Pradesh factory blast

September 30th, 2009 AMRITSAR - At least four people including a woman were injured when a boiler in a butter factory exploded here early on Wednesday. The impact of the blast was such that windowpanes of the nearby buildings were smashed.

September 13th, 2009 NAGLA GOLA VILLAGE - At least two people were killed and two others injured in a blast that rocked a firecracker factory at Nagla Gola village near Agra on Sunday. Police officials said that the factory was legal and the blast might have taken place due to the some mishandling of the explosive and flammable materials.

July 5th, 2009 SINGRAULI - Over 100 factory workers were injured in four blasts occurred in a detonator factory, located in Baidan Village of Madhya Pradesh's Singrauli area. The intensity of blasts was so high that its sound could be heard many kilometres from Baliyari industrial area of the village, the place of incident where Indian detonators are manufactured.

June 30th, 2009 ISLAMABAD - Four people were killed and three injured Tuesday in a blast at a petrol pump in Pakistan's southwestern Balochistan province, TV reports said. The blast occurred in a car parked at a petrol pump near the Quetta-Karachi Highway, Geo TV said citing police officials.

May 12th, 2009 THANE - Two workers were killed in a massive blast, which gutted down a chemical factory in Ambernath area of western Thane on Tuesday. The blast, which took place in the morning hours, caused extensive damage to the chemical factory named Thomas Baker Private Limited.

April 18th, 2009 BHOPAL - Eleven people including six women and three children were killed and five were injured after a jeep carrying them collided with a truck in Madhya Pradesh Saturday, police said. The jeep collided with the truck coming from the opposite side on the Ujjain-Agar road, about 225 km from here.

April 16th, 2009 BHOPAL - A tiger cub succumbed to injuries here after being hurt by an adult tiger. Eleven months old Pancham was brought in an injured condition to Bhopal's Van Vihar National Park on April 4.

March 11th, 2009 UJJAIN - One person was killed and 37 people including three police officers were injured in a communal clash in a Madhya Pradesh town Tuesday, police said. Indefinite curfew was imposed in Mahidpura sub-district following the clash which erupted after police stopped members of a Muslim group, returning from a religious procession, from going towards the area where Hindus were holding a religious programme, police said.
