3 dead in mobile home shooting in Tennessee

LAFAYETTE, Tenn. — Authorities say three people have been shot to death at a mobile home in Tennessee.

WSMV-TV reports the shooting happened early Monday morning at a home about five miles from Lafayette, which is 65 miles northeast of Nashville. The station says the sheriff’s department received a call from a person who witnessed the shooting.

Authorities found two people dead of multiple gunshot wounds, while a third person was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

The station reported a person of interest was arrested in Sumner County, but officials there referred calls to officials in Macon County.

The victims’ names haven’t been released. The Macon County sheriff didn’t immediately return a phone message left by The Associated Press.
