14 killed in Pakistan suicide blast

October 12th, 2009 ISLAMABAD - Four people were killed and 30 injured Monday in an explosion in Pakistan's Swat region. The bomb blast occurred near a security checkpoint in Shangla of Swat valley in North West Frontier Province, Xinhua reported.

September 19th, 2009 ISLAMABAD - The toll in a suicide blast in northwest Pakistan Friday mounted to 39 as six more bodies were recovered, media reports Saturday said. According to Kohat police, 150 kg of explosives were exploded by a bomber who rammed his explosives-filled vehicle in roadside markets in Kohat district Friday, leaving at least 39 people dead and 54 injured, GEO News TV channel reported.

August 17th, 2009 ISLAMABAD - At least 10 people were killed in a suicide blast at a town in Pakistan's North West Frontier Province, media reports said Friday. The reports said the suicide blast took place in a market in Kohat town and several shops were completely destroyed in the blast.

July 29th, 2009 ISLAMABAD - At least one person was killed and three others wounded in a car bomb blast in North West Frontier Frontier Province's Dera Ismail Khan on Wednesday. Officials said the car was parked inside a parking lot of the district courts, and a remote control device was used to trigger off the blast.

May 11th, 2009 ISLAMABAD - Six people, including a paramilitary Frontier Corps official, were killed Monday in a suicide attack in northwestern Pakistan, the News reported. Two security personnel were also injured in the attack which targeted a security check post in Darra Adam Khel in North West Frontier Province, the report said.
