11 killed in separate accidents in Jharkhand

September 28th, 2009 RANCHI - Four guerrillas were killed by members of another Maoist group in Gumla district of Jharkhand Monday, police said. A gun battle between two groups of Maoist rebels took place at Salkaya jungle of Gumla, about 160 km from here.

According to police, Maoists attacked a State Bank of India (SBI) branch near Fusro market of Bokaro town Friday afternoon, killing two personnel of the state police.

May 1st, 2009 RANCHI - Six people, including three women and a child, died when the ambulance they were travelling in was hit by a truck in Jharkhand Friday, police said. The private ambulance was returning from Ranchi to Gumla when the truck hit it near the Pati roundabout in Gumla district, about 140 km from here, according to police.
