Google Earth will Warn us of Tsunami in Future

LONDON - A scientist has used Google Earth to detect a spot in the Caribbean that can trigger a tsunami in the future.According to a report in New Scientist, the spot was found by Richard Teeuw from the Geohazard Research Centre at the University of Portsmouth, UK, and his colleagues.

"We were doing fieldwork on the volcanic island of Dominica in the Lesser Antilles and initially just used Google Earth to identify good study areas," he said.

India ‘moved east’ after tsunami

A seismologist in India says that the country has moved closer to Indonesia due to the massive earthquake which triggered the tsunami in December.

Work for 2$ an hour as an independent contractor in a foreign country?

I saw this strange Blog entry from someone mentioning an US company which is *not hiring* US citizens. The post sounded like it was keeping a list of such companies! Anyway that sounded bad.
