We will soon get into vodcasting / video blogging. I am looking at using either a decent mobile camera with video capabilities like the Samsung U600 or using a digital camcorder. What tools would you recommend for a good quality video casting / video blogging?

I am looking for good quality video & audio which can be easily & quickly processed on my Linux environment for uploading.

Update: I have decided to go for a low end phone and additionally purchase a DVD camcorder for my video requirements. I can get better video quality for equivalent price.

Singapore Airlines always stands out in in-flight entertainment services. KrisWorld, Singapore Airlines' in-flight entertainment system, offers on-demand movies in multiple languages (pretty good collection of latest movies in my experience), television shows, games and music to passengers. Singapore Airlines rolled out a new version of KrisWorld, at least as early as May 14th, that improves significantly on existing systems.

SA provides a brand new in flight entertainment system on a Linux networked PC with 100 movies in English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Hindi, Tamil, Spanish and French. About 50 TV programs (check out Sponge Bob, Simpsons, Futurama etc.), games, music system with customizable playlist, audio books and even StarOffice 8 with Word Processor, Spreadsheet, Presentation (Impress) & File Manager. I came across a very interesting ad from Toto introducing Washlets to the US market. It employs nudity, specifically smiling asses to drive home its point - Washlet makes your ass happy. The ad was intriguing, the website cleanishappy uses Flash to create a very interactive presentation and drives home its point well. While it can be termed as a cheap trick, nevertheless one cannot deny the appropriateness of the advertising in the context of the business. There are several techniques to learn from their presentation.

Chuq Von Rospach is an Adobe Photoshop veteran. Recently he had series of bad experiences with Adobe Photoshop customer support. In essence what was promised on Adobe's site wasn't honored by Customer reps, what customer reps said wasn't honored by another group, resulting him paying much more for the software than he should have. I was reading through the rather rambulatory article, the pain I can sympathize with (as it is common to many other customer support divisions including but not limited to BSNL, AOL etc.) but not his decision to still end up purchasing the software. Adobe Photoshop has a very nice and capable alternative which allowed us, and we haven't regretted it since, fully migrate from Windows to Linux.
