adobe_flash Adobe Systems announced three major evolutions in its line of the Flash products. The software major introduced Adobe Flash Catalyst, Adobe Flash Builder 4 and the Flex 4 Framework. The Flash Catalyst is a new design and development tool in its beta. Adobe's Flex Builder has been rebranded to Flash Builder 4 with an array of upgrades. It is the new version of its development environment. Adobe has also released open-source Flex 4 framework that underpins Flash Builder 4.
