MySpace Sues Spam King Scott Richter For Sending MySpam

MySpaceMySpace has filed suit against notorious spammer and self-proclaimed "spam king" Scott Richter and alleged cohorts for sending what could become known as MySpam. Yesterday MySpace filed a complaint in a District Court in Central District of California, USA demanding a jury trial against Richter's for sending spam messages disguised as communications from members to other MySpace members.

Reuters Fake Photograph of Beirut ConflictReuters withdrew all 920 photographs by a freelance Lebanese photographer from its database on Monday after an urgent review of his work showed he had altered two images from the conflict between Israel and the armed group Hizbollah.

419 Scams - Now Made in Asia

Today I received an email from Sudhir Thirumurthy [sagthirumurthy@fastermail.com] with a subject which screamed 419 scam. However I hadn't received any from Singapore and by someone who is clearly of Indian origin. So I decided to give him the benefit of doubt.

Google, Inc. has been sued by AIT, a "two-time" INC 500 Company, who has advertised with Google for years, as the representative plaintiff in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.

Data Broker LexisNexis said Personal Data of 310, 000 U.S. citizes feared stolen

An investigation by the firm's Anglo-Dutch parent Reed Elsevier determined that its databases had been fraudulently breached 59 times using stolen passwords, leading to the possible theft of personal information such as addresses and Social Security numbers.
