airtel vodafoneHow many times have we talked about sleazy marketing strategies and lazy branding? Well, there are some who get away with cheap thrills like Sprite (whose only motto was to devalue Coke's rival Pepsi by mocking others), but then again, there are some who can give us the shock of our lives. Take Vodafone for example. I have always been fond of their amazing ads shown on TV and have respected the brains behind. But today, while surfing the internet, I typed www.airtel.com (as will most of the people who are curious to know about Airtel) and to my utter dismay, I found, I am redirected to Vodafone Spain! Airtel's most probabilistic domain taken up by Vodafone? Hijacked? WTH. Just try it out.

Airtel Network- Most Popular, Most Call Drops, says TRAI

airtel_desinetworkcoccIf Airtel users ever had a complaint (I am sure there are some) about network failure or poor connectivity in tele-communication, here is one reason. According to TRAI, Airltel is the most congested telecom network. I donno if you can boast of it if you are an Airtel subscriber. We are one. We use its high speed unlimited broadband plans and use airtel SIMs too. But certainly this means,- okay we are with the most popular telecom network, how cool. Now what's next? Vodafone is a close second by the way.

Airtel OnSpeed Search is a Total Failure - A Review

Airtel is one of the biggest telecom service providers in India which includes a fair share of broadband and other internet plans too. They always try to push up their ever-so-reliable search engine to your mobiles or for internet. When I tried to use one, I was astonished to see the results. Because there were NONE. Absolutely none excepting some nonsense categories below and misplaced ads. With repeated searches upon various topics, Onspeedsearch from airtel couldn't bring me any luck or news. iPhone 3G Launch Dismal Failure in India (a small nation with 1.2 billion people)

Apple launched iPhone in India, a country with only 1.2 billion people and overall not considered rich like their counterparts in USA. In USA Apple launched iPhone for $199 only. Steve Jobbs also promised that it will be similalry priced across all markets. So how did they target a market of 1.2 B with a very high mobile pernetration and nowhere as rich as USA? By pricing iPhone 3G at 4 times the US price at Rs. 31, 000 only (and lockdown for a year to the service provider) and without 3G. Imagine how the market reacted…
