How To Resolve Tomcat - Openfire Port Conflict

Openfire (Jabber/XMPP server) by default binds on port 8080 which is also used by Tomcat. This causes Tomcat to fail when openfire is started before it. The solution, as always, is simple.

Bye Bye Yahoo Messenger…No Thanks To Your Spam

I am sick and tired of Yahoo Messenger Spam initiated primarily by Myfreecamhost and now joined by few new initiates too. Everyday, at the most inppropriate times I will get one or more messages from Yahoo Messenger asking me to watch some random female’s webcam on myfreecamhost for free (obviously scam). I was using Yahoo Messenger via Pidgin / Gaim. I have disabled Yahoo Messenger from my IM client till Yahoo fixes the issue. I have a feeling that Yahoo is benefiting financially from these spam. What do you think?

The key capabilities includes support for multiple external network interfaces with load balancing, traffic shaping, transparent proxy, firewall, content filters, DNS (domain name server), NTP (time server), mail server, Jabber Instant Messaging server, SAMBA for file sharing, DHCP and more.
