Google Analytics finally provided the long asked for feature. While daily graphs are useful, summarized weekly and monthly graphs are much better in displaying trends.

The "do no evil" mantra of Google is slowly fading into oblivion as Google, like any other large corporation, plans to axe 300 jobs from newly acquired DoubleClick Inc. This is the first time that Google has made significant job cuts.

It was well known that there is a significant amount of Java development in Bangalore these days. However it took me by surprise to find that it may actually be a world leader in terms of amount of Java and India too as a country. What was even more surprising is that USA doesn't figure in top 10.

UnrulyMedia is a new UK based entrant in price-per-view (viewing the video not page) video advertising on the web sites and blogs.
UnrulyMedia is different from traditional campaigns in that it pays only when a view is registered in the targeted area. For example, if a video ad is targeted for US audience, only views from US will be counted towards payment. UnrulyMedia defines a view as when someone in the targeted area views the video.

I recently came across an instance of Google Proxy hacking with one of my clients, which removed his index page and other pages from SERP (Search Engine Ranking & Positioning) and he lost the page ranks (went down to zero). We were asked to protect his site against Google Proxy hacking, a really dangerous technique which can not only cause you to loose page rank but also remove your pages from SERP, all because Google cannot properly identify original pages from duplicates.
