It has been several hours since Google search went down. Google services on google.com domain, including but not limited to GMail or Google Analytics, Google Adsense etc., are down too while blogsearch.google.com is up and running.

Beware GMail Goofs Up On Spam Protection

GMail has apparently gone bonkers with its vaunted spam protection feature or maybe spammers have finally managed to successfully corrupt its (naive bayesian?) filters. GMail is generating tons of false positives (valid emails being marked as spam) with no hope in the horizon so far. You need to be very careful with using GMail.

GMail Increases Attachment Limit; Goes Open; Out of Beta?

Google GMail increased the attachment limit of individual emails to 20MB. On the other hand the total space inches closer to 3 GB; it is currently at 2857 MB of which I am using only 3%.
