I do have a couple of questions about version 2.0 for you Angsuman.
1) Will the translated pages be cached in the database somehow? I can see this creating quite a load on people’- servers if not. I guess you can use WP-Cache if it’s not….
2) Will transalted pages have permalinks? It looks like it on your test server, but without being able to really play with it its hard to tell..

It’s a excelent plugin but you would have to think to modify plugin for blogs that does not use English language, for example, in my case the Spanish.
Spanish translator babelfish only two language : french and english.

A. You can use any php caching system like eAccelerator to cache your pages.
Even without caching it will not create much load on your servers, based on my experience with the current version of the translator.

I have everything ready. I am still waiting for the final nod from QA. I am sorry for keeping you all waiting but unless QA is satisfied it wouldn’t be prudent to go ahead. And there are lots of features to test and lots of options. Yes, it is a major leap over previous version with lots of goodies.
I know I can release it tomorrow. But I am wondering if I should give it two more days and go for Monday.
Anyway Monday is a good day for releasing.
