WordPress 2.0.3 Released

August 24th, 2005 After briefly scanning the eleven defects fixed in 1.5.2 (an interim release before WordPress 1.6) I identified the changed files. January 24th, 2007 WordPress just released version 2.1. We have tested Translator Plugin Pro with 2.1 release and it works perfectly out of the box.

July 31st, 2006 WordPress 2.0.4 is available for download. This release contains several important security fixes, so it’s recommended upgrade for all users.

August 30th, 2007 WordPress team has released version 2.3 after 3 months of "feverish" work. It is obviously targeted for the adventurous and savvy to test and provide feedback for the final release.

March 10th, 2006 Alex has released his first ever wordpress theme - Alexified. The alexified theme looks beautiful and clean.

June 30th, 2005 WordPress developers have posted yet another "security" update. Again, as always, you have to delete everything (except wp-content/ and config.php) and re-install from scratch.

June 8th, 2008 Traditionally WordPress is backed up by backing the database and the files separately, if required. WordPress 2.5.1 introduces a much simpler way to backup the database in xml format on your desktop.

November 27th, 2006 Today I received an email from our QA engineer. Translator Plugin Pro 4.0 (WordPress plugin to automatically translate your blog to 10 or more languages) is translating even WordPress admin pages correctly.

March 10th, 2006 WordPress released yet another security release 2.0.2 fixing (yet again) unannounced XSS security bugs. I have not upgraded any of my blogs to 2.x release.
