Why Microsoft Vista is Bad & BadVista Good (But FSF Bad) Ȃ}CN\tgVista badvistaǂiA FSF̈j
I morally support BadVista campaign in as much as it helps educate people that:IɃLy[T|[gbadvistaƂĂł邾̐lX炷̂ɖ𗧂܂F
1. 1 B Windows Vista is actually a downgrade (from Windows XP or Windows 2000) wherein you are forced to support DRM (for content producers) at your expense (CPU & Memory) forcing you to upgrade your hardware just to get reasonable performance out of Windows Vista ( Windows Vistaɂ́Aۂɂ̓_EO[hi Windows XP܂Windows 2000 jT|[gDRMȂiRecjĔpi CPU jւ̃AbvO[hĂn[hEFA鍇IȐ\oWindows Vista i cost analysis ). j B
2. 2 B Microsoft Vista software is not owned by you even after you buy it.}CN\tgBX^ł͂Ȃ\tgEFAwɏLĂ܂B You enjoy only a restricted license to use the software.ŷ݂݂gpă\tgEFÃCZX𐧌܂B You are literally at the mercy of Microsoft.Ȃʂ́A߂̐iłB
3. 3 B Microsoft Vista operating system doesn't provide significant improvement over Windows XP to even think about upgrading.}CN\tgVistaIy[eBOVXe啝ɉPȂWindows XP̒lĂAbvO[h܂B
4. 4 B Linux today Linux̍ presents av[g much more compelling case͂邩ɐ͂̂P[X as all-round operating system over Windows Vista and even Windows XP and should be strongly considered as the first choice operating system and also for (upgrade)I[Eh̃Iy[eBOVXeƂĈȏA Windows XPWindows VistaƂȂKvIy[eBOVXeƂ̍ŏ̑IiAbvO[hj migrationڍs .łB
However I do not support FSF (or Richard Stallman) for its hardcore stance against commercial software, which I personally think preaches a thinly veiled communist agenda; but that is a topic for another day.T|[gĂȂFSF i܂́A`[hXg[}j̃n[hRȀp\tgEFAɔ̗l鎄͌lIɔċY`̐c;Aʂ̓ɂ́AgsbNQƂĂB So I think linking BadVista campaign with FSF (to support BadVista campaign you have to join FSF which I refuse to do) is a bad move.ƎvbadvistaLy[FSF̃Ni badvistaT|[gLy[ɎQKvsFSF̂ۂ j́AsǂɈړ܂B I support BadVista campaign but not FSF.̃T|[gbadvista FSF̃Ly[͂ł܂B
