June 20th, 2006 MySpace, the super-popular social networking site, is to use the UK as a base for a push into Europe that will see it link up with "old media" companies and mobile phone operators to attract more users. Chris DeWolfe, co-founder and chief executive of MySpace, told the Financial Times on Monday that he had earmarked 11 countries for its international expansion, among them France and Germany, and was looking at China and India over the longer term.

September 11th, 2008 You all know now that Google News crawled an obscure reprint of an article from 2002 when United Airlines was on the brink of bankruptcy. United Airlines has since recovered but due to a missing dateline, Google News ran the story as today's news.

August 25th, 2009 Analyst says Intel 2010 prospects 'look good'NEW YORK — A Raymond James analyst said Tuesday that Intel Corp.'s prospects for 2010 "look good," and kept an "Outperform" rating on the chip maker. Analyst Hans Mosesmann said in a note to investors that an enterprise upgrade cycle — that is, businesses upgrading their computers and other technology products — "is in the cards over the next one to two years in our view." The analyst added that adoption of Intel's Atom chip in netbooks "continues to be good and has stabilized, with cannibalization not the issue anymore." Atom is Intel's first microprocessor for "netbooks," which are mini-laptops that do less than regular laptops, but are very popular because they also cost less.
