To join “Free” Software Foundation which preaches that all software should be free you are forced to pay at least 120$ per year. Per far parte di "Libera" Software Foundation, che predica che tutti i software dovrebbe essere libero si sono costretti a pagare almeno 120 $ l'anno. Why should we pay to join “Free” software foundation? Perché dovremmo pagare di aderire "Free" software foundation?
When software (which requires human labor which costs money) should be free, as they preach, then why not services (which also costs human labor and money to provide)? I think you’ve misunderstood the FSF’s position. Credo di aver frainteso la posizione della FSF. They don’t believe that all software should be free (as in cost nothing). They clearly recognise that software requires capital to develop and are happy for people to charge for GPL software. English is unfortunate in having the word “free” mean “without cost” as well as “without restrictions”. L'inglese è un peccato avere la parola "free" significa "senza costo" e "senza restrizioni". Many people get them mixed up when they hear “free software”. Molte persone farli confusi quando sentono "software libero". That’s why the Free Software Foundation specifies “free as in free speech”. Patrick, I think you confuse “open source” with free. Patrick, credo che lei confondere "open source" con libera. Open source isn’t necessarily without cost but comes with the freedom to modify/improve. Open source non è necessariamente senza costo, ma viene fornito con la libertà di modificare / migliorare.
Free means free. Liberi significa libera.
