Simple Thoughts Upgraded To WordPress 2.0.7

February 22nd, 2009 We just updated Simple Thoughts blog to the latest version of WordPress software. So far everything looks good.

October 23rd, 2007 Simple Thoughts was chosen as the name of this blog in distant past to highlight my approach - simple solutions for complex problems. The name stuck over the years.

March 17th, 2005 What happened After my WordPress 1.5 upgrade and enabling of an option to reject comments from open proxy, no comments (over 100) were appearing on my blogs. Moreover they were silently discarded.

October 30th, 2008 Simple Thoughts has 2,460 posts and 10,012 comments as of writing this post, an average of over 4 comments per post. Simple Thoughts was never intended to be a commercial venture like TechCrunch or Mashable, for instance.

June 20th, 2005 I looked at the proposed feature set summary for WordPress 1.6. Mostly UI changes, few extra plugin hooks etc.

March 2nd, 2005 I have upgraded this blog to WordPress 1.5. With it I am progressively redesigning this blog to simplify accessing of *content*.

March 19th, 2009 We are changing the blog incrementally. We made the home page less cluttered now.

September 16th, 2008 For several years Simple Thoughts has been authored solely by me. This ensured that we maintained the quality I am proud of.

February 23rd, 2008 Simple Thoughts blog now boasts a new and improved search facility, thanks to Google customized search. Now you can get the search results on our site with our look and feel, without having to go to Google.

October 8th, 2008 Simple Thoughts now has a working Subscribe-by-email facility. Unlike many other blogs which provide this facility, we do not use FeedBurner.

June 6th, 2006 What is my agenda for Simple Thoughts blog? What are my goals? My goal is to provide accurate and quality information on java and web technologies. It includes providing code samples, software, wordpress plugins, software reviews, news and views, architectural discussions and much more.

January 19th, 2007 Translator Plugin Pro 4.0 is a significant step forward in terms of architecture of Translator plugin. I have re-architected the software to allow pluggable translation engines.

March 10th, 2006 WordPress released yet another security release 2.0.2 fixing (yet again) unannounced XSS security bugs. I have not upgraded any of my blogs to 2.x release.

May 29th, 2006 I don't like it very much but one of my colleagues do. What do you think?

June 30th, 2008 WordPress, in recent versions, have forces the display of WordPress as the generator in meta tags along with the version information in the header of your WordPress blogs -. Unlike previous versions there is not easy way to remove it.
