July 24th, 2009 Samsung says quarter-2 net profit rose 5.2 percentSEOUL, South Korea — Samsung Electronics said Friday that second-quarter net profit rose 5.2 percent from the same period last year as sales of flat screen televisions and mobile phones increased and prices for memory chips moved higher amid stronger demand for personal computers. Samsung Electronics Co., the world's biggest manufacturer of computer memory chips and flat screen televisions, earned 2.25 trillion won ($1.81 billion) in the three months ended June 30, it said in a regulatory filing.

May 24th, 2006 Samsung Electronics said that it will launch a laptop computer and a "ultra-computing device," in early June. In these devices the hard drives will be replaced with 32 gigabytes of NAND flash memory.

February 24th, 2007 We recently purchased parts for a home desktop PC in India for the value oriented price sensitive segment (along with several new computers for office). My objective was to choose a solid home desktop personal comnputer with decent graphics, solid sound system and strong processor speed.

August 11th, 2007 I have a Samsung GSM mobile phone SG R220. It has been working fine for last 6 years.

January 15th, 2007 Most modern hard disks have S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology) technology built in which, if enabled, allows you to query the hard drive about it's health and performance.

January 8th, 2007 Samsung Electronics announced today that it has created the first LCD panel that can produce independent images on each side (front and back) of a mobile LCD display. This will replace traditionally used dual display panels with one, thereby reducing overall thickness of mobile products by at least 1mm.
