Oracle is interesting to me for several reasons. اوراكل امر مثير للاهتمام لي لعدة أسباب.

Oracle is not only competing with lower cost products like Microsoft SQL Server, which has grown amazingly in the recent years from its Sybase codebase, but also with quality free products like MySQL or PostgreSQL. اوراكل ليست مجرد منافسة مع انخفاض تكلفة المنتجات مثل مايكروسوفت الخادم لغة الاستعلامات البنيويه ، التي نمت بصورة مذهله في السنوات الاخيرة من Sybase codebase ، ولكن ايضا مع نوعية المنتجات الخاليه من مثل الخلية او PostgreSQL. It shows how a product company can succeed even in the face of competition from open source free products. وتبين كيف أن منتج الشركة لا يمكن ان تنجح حتى في وجه المنافسة من المنتجات الخاليه من المصادر المفتوحه.

Companies like Oracle also help develop industries around their products thereby further solidifying their position in the market. شركات مثل اوراكل تساعد ايضا فى تطوير الصناعات في جميع انحاء منتجاتها مما يزيد من تقوية مركزها في السوق. Being an Oracle DBA is a lucrative position, which is relatively easy to get into and easy to earn a lot. ويجري اوراكل ديسيبل هو موقف المربحه ، والتي من السهل نسبيا وسهولة الدخول الى لكسب الكثير. Oracle Financial Applications fosters a huge industry of small consulting & implementation companies. تطبيقات اوراكل المالية ضخمة تعزز الصناعة الصغيرة & تنفيذ استشارة الشركات. Oracle has been known to actively foster its developer community and help them grow. اوراكل كان معروفا بنشاط لتعزيز اعمالها المطور المجتمع ومساعدتهم على النمو. Even though Oracle do provide high end Professional Services, there is lots of room in middle to lower end of the spectrum. على الرغم من ان تفعل اوراكل الحد الاعلى لتوفير الخدمات المهنيه ، وهناك الكثير من غرفة في وسط لاقل من الطيف.

Contrast this with open source companies like RedHat or MySQL or JBoss or WordPress. على النقيض من هذا المصدر المفتوح مع شركات مثل RedHat او الخلية او jboss او WordPress. It is hard for them to foster implementation partners as they are themselves trying to float their business through consulting and support! ومن الصعب بالنسبة لهم شركاء لتعزيز التنفيذ كما هي محاولة لتعويم انفسهم اعمالهم من خلال دعم التشاور و! The amount of business that can thrive around them is much less as they have to compete with the parent company, which isn’t easy. مبلغ لا يمكن ان تزدهر الاعمال التجارية التي من حولها ، هو اقل بكثير لانها تتنافس مع الشركة الأم ، وهي ليست سهلة. Understand that this picture isn’t black and white. نفهم ان هذه الصورة ليست ابيض واسود. Bigger ones like MySQL tries to foster some community, while smaller ones like WordPress think they are favoring their community by their venerable presence and don’t care much about them. صراعات أكبر مثل الخلية يحاول بعض لتعزيز المجتمع ، في حين ان اصغر حجما مثل WordPress اعتقد انها لصالح المجتمع المحلي من جانب وجود وتحظى بالاحترام ، لا يهتمون كثيرا عن الطرف الآخر.

Overall the size of the industry reduces drastically and spooks new entrant as they don’t want to compete with zero-cost products, if they can help it. اجمالى حجم هذه الصناعة بشكل كبير ويقلل من الاشباح الجدد لأنها لا تريد ان تتنافس مع المنتجات الصفر التكلفه ، اذا كانت يمكن ان تساعد في ذلك.

The good news is that slowly companies are realizing that free to purchase doesn’t necessarily translate to free to implement and maintain. الخبر السار هو ان تدرك شيئا فشيئا ان الشركات الشراء مجانا لا يعني بالضروره الى حرية وتنفيذ وصيانة. Quality and support of a product counts much more than the upfront price. الجوده والدعم للمنتج التهم اكثر بكثير من الثمن مقدما. And so companies like Oracle are rising again in public perception, in profitability and hence in the stock market. وحتى الشركات مثل اوراكل آخذة في الارتفاع مرة أخرى في التصور العام ، في الربحيه وبالتالي في سوق الاسهم.
