Fox is not news, it is opinion journalism. This is fine, and other stations have it too but not to the degree that Fox does.
Asking questions that are worded in such a way that there is no possible way to answer them is not appropriate in News. That is appropriate in some situations but it is not NEWS reporting.
News reporting consists of asking fair, non leading questions and then shutting up and allowing the person to answer. THEN if they did not answer the question it is your job to rephrase the question again and get them to answer it. It is not a News person’s job to get out their own agenda. It is the news person’s job to allow each guest to get the word out about THEIR agenda. THEN the next job of the News is to be critical and find out if what they said is true or not and allow that news to come out by interviewing those people. A News person doesn’t call people a liar or tell them to shut up, they prove their points by interviewing others.
