Stepping out of the hatch with crewmate Commander Michael Lopez-Alegria to upgrade the International Space Station’s cooling system, the Indian-American astronaut, Williams recorded a new record of 22 hours and 27 minutes during her third spacewalk.

October 3rd, 2009 WASHINGTON - The first astronaut to tweet from space has passed an important social media milestone, as in he now shares his daily experiences with more than a million followers on the micro-blogging service. The astronaut in question is NASA's Mike Massimino, known as @Astro_Mike on Twitter.
