MySQL High End Features Should be Closed Source & for Paid Customers Only الخلية نهاية ميزات عالية ينبغي ان تكون مغلقة المصدر و المدفوع للعملاء فقط
I am serious. انا خطيرة. While MySQL is a great open source database, I have full respect to Sun’s plan to provide high-end features for paying customers only. وفي حين ان الخلية هي قاعدة بيانات كبيرة مفتوحة المصدر ، فقد الاحترام الكامل للشمس خطة لتوفير أرقى ميزات لدفع العملاء فقط. After all they are in the business of making money and not philanthropy, last I checked. بعد كل ما يجري في الاعمال التجارية لجعل المال وليس العمل الخيري ، وانا تأكدت الماضي.
Why is the blogosphere and MySQL community up in arms against the move? لماذا هو Blogosphere الخلية والمجتمع في التحرك ضد الاسلحة؟ I think it is extremely selfish to try to force Sun to abort its plan of providing high-end features for paid customers only. واعتقد انه من الانانيه للغاية في محاولة لقوة الشمس لافشال خطة عملها على توفير أرقى ميزات تدفع للعملاء فقط. Any paid customer of MySQL would welcome the move and, as expected freeloaders will disagree. اي دفع العملاء من شأنه ان نرحب الخلية والتحرك ، وكما كان متوقعا المستغلون وسوف نختلف. But who cares? ولكن من يهتم؟ After all most of the freeloaders don’t contribute a dime. على كل حال معظم من المستغلون لا تسهم في عشرة سنتات.
The best thing Sun can do is offer high end features free to significant source code contributors to MySQL codebase or community. وافضل شيء نفعله هو ان الشمس يمكن ان توفر الحد الاعلى لميزات مجانيه لمصدر هام من مصادر القانون codebase المساهمين في الخلية او المجتمع.

I’m generally ambivalent. عموما أنا متناقضه. I support free software/open source (money and code). وانا اؤيد البرامج الحرة / المفتوحه المصدر (المال والقانون). I’ll be interested to see what the features are, and whether similar features are prevented from being committed to the base? انا مهتم لمعرفة ما هي ملامح وسمات مماثلة ما اذا كانت تمنع من يجري ارتكابها الى القاعده؟

We’re a paid customer. نحن المدفوعه للعميل. In general, the feeling I get from other people who depend commercially on open projects is that we would rather (and do) make donations and contributions public because the shared infrastructure makes us more efficient. وبصفة عامة ، من الشعور احصل على شعب آخر من يتوقف عن فتح مشاريع تجارية هي اننا بدلا من (والقيام) تقديم التبرعات والمساهمات العامة لان البنية التحتية المشتركة يجعلنا اكثر كفاءه.
But, we’re not Sun or Microsoft. ولكن ، نحن لسنا الشمس او مايكروسوفت. We’re small software companies. نحن شركة برمجيات صغيرة.
