My Favorite Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Quote

July 20th, 2007 I was reading the outrage of Harry Potter fans regarding the premature review of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows book. I had read the review and it contains some spoilers like the meaning of deathly hallows, number of deaths (I am amazed that someone took the pain to actually count it!) etc.

February 5th, 2007 It has been a couple of years since the release of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, and now it is Harry Potter time again with the scheduled release on 21st July of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows. I had a nagging thought since Harry Potter & Half Blood Prince (Rowling, please make your future book names shorter), you guessed it, about the death of Albus Dumbledore.

June 20th, 2007 It would be interesting to read the final episode in the Harry Potter saga, if not for anything but the morbid curiosity of young Harry's fate. In many ways I am happy that it ends here.

July 16th, 2005 Dr. Richard Stallman's latest tirade is against Harry Potter's publishers. As you might know HP publishers in Canada acquired a court order to prevent reading of Harry Potter books before the official release date.

July 20th, 2007 I have to say Mrs. J. K. Rowling loves her Harry Potter fanbase too much and listens not only to their requests but their humors too.

February 22nd, 2007 Harry Potter and The Order of Hackers Everytime a new Harry Potter book comes out there is an unannounced competition within hackers to be the first to scan it (ocr it) and post it online. Russian servers are an obvious choice as they are harder to track and shutdown.

July 20th, 2007 I was musing on how we could incorporate Harry Potter spells in corporate world. It looks feasible to me.

June 24th, 2008 My most favorite Firefox 3 feature is the automatically generated Most Visited folder on Bookmarks tab. It allows me to quickly browse my important work related websites.

November 25th, 2008 Suppose you want to copy and paste texts from a web page. Though the data can easily be copied (unless that particular website has copy protection) as plain text and pasted to yours, its painful to take all the metadata alongside it.

August 24th, 2007 I realized that it is very easy to be a master wand fighter in Harry Potter's wizarding world, unless off-course you are protected by love-charm in which case you can continue doing whatever you are doing and you will still be protected. July 9th, 2007 After we complete an outsourcing effort for a F 500 and wrap up dispatching all the upgrades for Translator 5.0, we will collectively go for a period of "working vacation" lasting about 2 months or so. What is a "working vacation"? My definition of "working vacation" is when we tie all the loose ends, upgrade infrastructure, hire new employees and train them, setup few additional dedicated servers (any recommendation?), switch web server, fix and add features to Comment Guard plugin for future release, setup 24/7 site and server backup, prototype new ideas, develop spike solutions etc.

August 20th, 2007 Nowadays my WordPress comments table is frequently getting corrupted and I have to repair it. The MySQL table repair command does the trick.
