I just read Hani’s experiences with axiondb - Ho appena letto Hani esperienze con axiondb -- The BileBlog Il BileBlog . It echoes my sentiments with common’s projects, specially the maven enabled ones, minus his colorful language of course. Esso fa eco miei sentimenti con i progetti comuni, specialmente il permesso Maven, meno la sua lingua colorful naturalmente.

I have been trying to get Jelly working for me. Ho cercato di ottenere in gelatina di lavoro per me. I realized that the jar provided is not complete and it needs Maven. Ho capito che il vaso è fornito completo e non ha bisogno di Maven. I then proceeded to download Maven and incidentally also got it working with Ant. Ho quindi provveduto a scaricare Maven e del resto anche ottenuto esso che funziona con Ant.

I thought my troubles were over! Pensavo che i miei problemi sono stati di oltre! Alas, I discovered a quite sometime later that one of the jars it needs to compile is not present, thereby preventing any build from happening! Purtroppo, ho scoperto un po 'più tardi a volte che uno dei vasi è necessario compilare non è presente, impedendo così qualsiasi costruire accada! I tried it with both Maven and Ant, with same results. Ho provato con entrambe le Maven e Ant, con stessi risultati.

Much as I like to use Jelly (I still haven’t been able to get it working) the stupid idea to download huge number of jars which I may or may not need is something that puts me off. I can accept if they packaged it in a big fat zip file but not this way. Sono in grado di accettare se confezionato in un Big Fat file zip ma non in questo modo. Maven concept is good theoritically, practically its a pain. Maven concetto è buono theoritically, praticamente i suoi dolori.

Yeah, I know its free but so is Tomcat. Yeah, lo so, ma la libera così è Tomcat. And look how simple it is to install Tomcat. E guardate quanto sia semplice installare Tomcat.

At the end I have to admit, it was effort to not use colorful language against this product. Alla fine devo ammettere, è stato sforzo di non usare la lingua colorata contro questo prodotto.

My advice to Hani: Use Hypersonic SQL. Il mio consiglio a Hani: Usa ipersonico SQL. Its a pleasure to use. Il suo un piacere da usare. I am using for small projects and prototypes for around 3 years now without much of an issue. Sto usando per i piccoli progetti e prototipi per circa 3 anni ormai senza più un problema. I am still amazed at how something as beautiful can be built with so little code. Io sono ancora stupiti di come qualcosa di bello come può essere costruito con così poco codice.
