It is built upon Microsoft’s DPM (Data Protection Manager) 2006 which is the Microsoft’s first storage software (released last October). DPM 2006 v2 aims to bring real-time replication and CDP (continuous data protection) technology to mainstream businesses, a Microsoft spokesperson said. DPM 2006 V2 لتحقيق الاهداف في الوقت الحقيقي وتكرار لجنة السياسات الانماءيه (متواصلة لحمايه البيانات) لتعميم تكنولوجيا الأعمال التجارية ، وقال متحدث باسم مايكروسوفت.

The new software centralizes backup for branch offices and broadens what is being protected, as well as how that backup/recovery occurs, said Jason Buffington, a Microsoft storage marketing manager. البرمجيات الجديدة مركزية احتياطية لالمكاتب الفرعية ويوسع ما يجري المحميه ، فضلا عن كيفية ان الاحتياطيه / انتعاش يحدث ، وقال جايسون buffington ، مايكروسوفت ومدير التسويق والتخزين.

DPM 2006 v2 uses an integrated disk-to-disk-to-tape mechanism to support all applications running on Exchange Server, SQLServer and SharePoint Portal Server.
