Every one is equal in Microsoft or that is what they say while talking about professional ethics! Well professional ethics. Can you beat this? According to Yahoo News,

Indian IT professionals working for Microsoft Corp in the US could be among those who lose jobs after it announced plans to sack 5,000 employees with the software giant indicating some of the affected would likely be non-Americans amid calls to first target foreigners working on H-1B visas

Oh, Microsoft Corp. is an MNC right? Multi-national or Multi- American? What seems more ridiculous is that  an influential Republican Senator has actually suggested (Trust me it was not so polite) to "while implementing the layoff plan and "protect" the jobs of Americans". I ask you, is this fair? Don't you think a company like Microsoft needs to take fairer action for its employee.

A MS-ian is a worker for Microsoft first, the citizenship is secondary. So if tomorrow they really fire on the basis of H1B visas (where they are the biggest beneficiary by importing brains from India) and american or non- american issues, Microsoft better take people from USA only. I don't think people will love to work in a company (a software giant for that matter) who turns their back when needed the most and that too for some VISA issues influenced by politicians. The employee did one thing wrong though. He took birth in a different country.

Microsoft, we are watching.
