Having done a course in linguistic anthropology course from a prestigious American university once I am writings this this from that perspective.Tharoor is innocent and never meant to hurt anyone.The cattle class he meant was a response to a question using the “cattle class” terminology.He only meant the herd mentality of the airline, never the passengers.Manmohan Singh has contextualized it in the linguistic sense.My advice to Minister tharroor is be careful in future with such wits as you are not familiar with the reaction to it.
